Shutdown Details

As of 28 August 2026 MinuteMe will no longer be available. The decision has been made to cease operating.

You should request a backup of your data, and download the backup prior to this date. After this date you will no longer be able to access any of your prior meeting data.

Requesting a backup of your data

There are several methods available to download a backup of your data. In some cases, the download is available immediately, and in other cases, a Zip archive will be generated, and you will be emailed a link to download it.

Request a backup of all Series in your Workspace

This method allows you to request generation of a Zip archive, for all meetings you have access to in a workspace, or within a category in the workspace.

This backup will contain a folder for each series that you have access to in the workspace, and within that folder, a folder for each meeting that you have access to in the workspace. Only meetings that have content added will be included in the archive. The folder for each meeting will contain:

  • Agenda PDF - if one already exists. For the next meeting in the future from the date of generation one will be generated and added to the backup if it does not already exist.
  • Minutes PDF - if one already exists, it will be added to the backup. If one has not previously been generated then one will be generated and added to the backup.
  • Any images that were attached “inline” within the topic content
  • Any other attachments added to the meeting
Permissions information:

The backup you receive will only contain Series and each Meeting within those Series that you have access to. Even as a Workspace Owner, your backup will only contain meetings you have access to.

Remember: Even if you have access to a Series, there may be meetings within it that you do not have access to - and these will not be included in your backup.

1

Navigate to the series dashboard using the icon towards the top of the blue toolbar that runs down the left side of the MinuteMe web app.

2

Click on your Workspace in the left sidebar. Tip: If you use Categories, you can click on a category below the Workspace list.

Tip: You cannot download a backup for the All series group - you must be within a Workspace.

3

On the right, next to your Workspace or Category name at the top, click on the 3-dot action menuaction menu icon

4

Choose Request backup…. Follow the instructions on-screen and submit your request to generate a Zip backup. The backup may take up to an hour to generate.

5

Once the Zip backup has been created, a link to download it will be emailed to you. To download the backup, you must log in to MinuteMe using the same account that requested the backup.

NOTE: The backup must be generated and downloaded prior to the MinuteMe shutdown as it will not be available after this date.

Request a backup of all meetings in a single Series

This method allows you to request generation of a Zip archive, for all meetings you have access to in a single Series.

This backup will contain a folder for each meeting that you have access to in the Series.

The backup you receive will only contain meetings within the Series that you have access to. Even as a Meeting Admin, your backup will only contain meetings you have access to.

2

In the left sidebar, click on the 3-dot action menuaction menu icon next to the series title.

Downlad a JSON file of all Series in your Workspace

Similar to the method for downloading a Zip archive of all your workspace (or category) series and meetings, you can download a JSON file.

This is a more technical download, and is typically if you want to import your data to another system.

NOTE: As this is essentially a text file backup, it does not include any of your meeting attachments.

Follow the instructions for requesting a backup of all Series in your Workspace, except choose Download JSON archive… instead. The file will be immediately downloaded to your browser’s downloads folder.
